Business & Indirect Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business & Indirect Tax Manager to lead our French indirect tax function. Based in Paris, you will ensure full compliance with French and European VAT regulations while supporting a range of operational services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage European VAT compliance, including timely filing of VAT returns and quarterly reviews.
• Provide advisory support on all indirect tax matters and assist clients during VAT audits.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities and European partners on VAT issues.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure the company remains fully compliant.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and technology to streamline VAT and sales‑tax reporting.
• Oversee e‑invoicing compliance and integration with billing and accounting systems.
• Assess tax‑related risks and implement measures to optimise tax efficiency.
• Participate in ad‑hoc tax projects and cross‑functional operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of French and European indirect tax legislation.
• Proven experience managing tax teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and a track record of delivering accurate tax filings.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with authorities, partners and internal stakeholders.
