Applications Specialist – Colourants (EMEA)

About the role

The Applications Specialist – Colourants will support Solenis' EMEA Pulp & Paper business by providing technical expertise on colourant applications. The role is home‑based in France (or Belgium or Southern/Western Germany) and involves regular travel to customer sites across France to address colour formulation challenges and drive commercial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Product Management and technical teams during product evaluations, presentations and trials.
• Recommend suitable colourants, equipment and control solutions based on customer needs.
• Assist customers with shade matching, wet‑end applications and performance optimisation.
• Visit mills and customer sites to support trials, troubleshoot issues and deliver practical recommendations.
• Coordinate application testing with the Colourants laboratory in Mönchengladbach, Germany and translate results into actionable guidance.
• Develop and lead technical projects that create customer value and support business growth.

Required profile

• Based in France, Belgium or Southern/Western Germany and willing to travel regularly to customer sites in France.
• Strong interest in papermaking, chemistry and colourant technology.
