Workplace Technical Manager

About the role

The Workplace Technical Manager will own the day‑to‑day technical operations of the Sophia Antipolis site while contributing to EMEA‑wide standards for preventive maintenance, vendor management and technical best practices. This hybrid position blends hands‑on building system work with strategic improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, access control) on the Sophia Antipolis site.
• Plan, execute and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical incidents, performing troubleshooting and hands‑on repairs when needed.
• Maintain accurate asset records, documentation and compliance standards.
• Coordinate on‑site vendors, define scopes, monitor service levels and support tendering processes.
• Contribute to the design and rollout of PPM frameworks and technical standards across EMEA sites.
• Support office setups, internal moves and light multi‑trade interventions.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with building systems such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and structured maintenance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve technical issues.
• Experience managing external suppliers and tracking performance.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and standardisation.
