SoC Architect

About the role

SiFive, a leader in RISC‑V CPU IP, is seeking an experienced SoC Architect to drive research and development of next‑generation high‑performance system‑on‑chip solutions. You will guide a team that creates critical system IP blocks and pioneering security features for data‑center and networking products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and specify system IPs such as IOMMU, interrupt controllers, memory controllers, and other platform components.
• Establish platform security requirements and design innovative security features.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Product Architects to shape architecture and product specifications.
• Design experiments, evaluate micro‑architecture concepts, and model performance.
• Work closely with hardware design teams to implement and deliver system IPs.
• Interact directly with customers to gather requirements, address use‑cases, and resolve issues.
• Participate in RISC‑V International Association (RVIA) SIG/TG/HC groups related to system architecture.

Required profile

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SoC architecture and 5+ years leading engineering teams delivering hardware products.
• Strong background in SoC design flow, from specification through micro‑architecture design and performance modeling.
• Deep understanding of CPU architectures, power management, and hardware‑software interactions (OS, device drivers, firmware).
