Head of Procurement – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead Akuo’s group‑wide procurement, contracting and supply‑chain strategy for solar, wind and battery storage projects across Europe and the Americas. Reporting within the EPC organization, this senior leader will shape sourcing approaches that drive project competitiveness, cost efficiency and operational resilience throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global procurement and supply‑chain strategy aligned with business growth and investment targets.
• Provide a consolidated view of spend, contractual exposure and logistics flows to support strategic decisions.
• Prioritise project needs and allocate procurement, contracting and supply‑chain resources across regions.
• Establish governance, processes and standards to ensure consistency, scalability and efficiency.
• Build, lead and develop an international team of procurement professionals.
• Develop strategic supplier partnerships and framework agreements for long‑term capacity and reliability.
• Drive performance across cost, schedule, quality and cash objectives.
• Lead global sourcing, tendering (RFP/RFQ) and negotiation of technical and financial terms.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement or supply‑chain functions in large‑scale renewable energy or EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of solar, wind and battery storage equipment categories.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑regional teams and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent strategic thinking, governance and performance‑management skills.
