EMC Design Engineer

About the role

NXP is looking for an EMC Design Engineer to develop on‑chip EMC solutions for next‑generation semiconductor products. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to model, simulate, validate and debug EMC performance, ensuring compliance, reliability and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement EMC design concepts for integrated circuits.
• Perform EMC simulations, analysis and validation against product requirements.
• Develop on‑chip EMC solutions and interference‑mitigation techniques.
• Support silicon debug, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with international, multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development cycle.
• Participate in advanced EMC modeling, automation and future‑technology innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to work in international, multidisciplinary environments.
• Curious, innovative mindset with a passion for technical excellence.

Required skills

• EMC/EMI modeling, simulation and measurement.
• Familiarity with EMC standards, qualification methods and laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of circuit simulation and EDA design tools.
• Experience with automation, scripting and data‑analytics tools.
• Understanding of CMOS, BCD, SOI or high‑voltage semiconductor technologies.
• Silicon characterization, debugging and failure analysis.
