Senior Signal Processing Engineer

About the role

Arago is seeking a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to bridge the gap between hardware reality and mathematical models. You will work closely with optics, analog, and digital teams to co‑optimize the design of our AI‑driven compute engine.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with optics, analog, and digital groups to understand how low‑level hardware decisions affect chip performance and AI model outcomes.
• Design and implement proprietary internal tools for accurate simulations and hardware optimization.
• Analyze physical noise and signal distortion, creating mathematical frameworks to mitigate their impact.
• Develop predictive models of light‑matter interaction to guide digital and analog design decisions.
• Provide rigorous mathematical validation for architectural choices, ensuring each design is backed by numerical proof.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom, high‑speed sensing, optimal control, signal processing, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Informatics with deep expertise in numerical analysis, optimization, and modeling.
• Proven ability to model variability, noise, and distortion using analytical and numerical methods.
• Curious, first‑principles problem‑solver with excellent English communication; French is a plus.
