Production Engineer – Body Assembly (Automotive)

About the role

As a Production Engineer in the Body Assembly department of Toyota Motor Europe’s French branch, you will help bring new vehicle models to mass production in European plants. You will translate vehicle design concepts into practical manufacturing solutions, ensuring they meet Toyota’s high standards for safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Convert vehicle styling and design requirements into scalable manufacturing concepts.
• Assess design data against Toyota’s manufacturing standards and identify impacts on production processes.
• Collaborate with production and equipment teams to evaluate feasibility, propose improvements and balance safety, quality, cost and productivity.
• Lead process improvements and equipment design using 3‑D models, simulation tools, 2‑D drawings and bill of materials.
• Procure, install and commission manufacturing processes and equipment in European plants.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through benchmarking and best‑practice analysis.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in English and French for daily shop‑floor coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment, installations and production teams.
• Proven ability to manage technical data such as layouts, 3‑D models, robot files and simulation data.

• Siemens Process Simulate (PSR) for process analysis and validation.
• 3‑D modeling and simulation tools.
• 2‑D drawing and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
• Advanced Excel skills.
