About the role

The public water and sanitation authority of Nantes Metropole is looking for a skilled metalworker/boilermaker to join its maintenance team. Working under the workshop manager, you will ensure the reliability of water‑treatment installations and associated stations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and improvement maintenance on plant equipment.
• Plan and execute interventions following the workshop manager’s instructions.
• Perform metalworking, locksmithing and welding tasks, including sheet‑metal fabrication and pipe manufacturing.
• Operate specialised tools such as press brakes, saws and other steel‑working machines.
• Apply safety measures on all worksites and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Design and fabricate specific parts or equipment as required.
• Record all activities in the CMMS (GMAO) at each project stage.

Required profile

• Formal training in metalworking or boilermaking.
• Preferably knowledge of the water sector.
• Ability to read technical plans and apply safety rules on site.
• Strong relational skills, teamwork orientation, organisational ability and initiative.
• Valid driving licence (category B).
