Legal Counsel (Remote-friendly)

About the role

Joko is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team. The role is remote‑friendly and will report directly to the Head of Legal, supporting the company as it expands internationally, especially into the US market.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Joko complies with applicable laws and regulations in France and future markets.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including commercial, partnership, and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams on corporate, labor, data‑protection, and intellectual‑property matters.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks to prevent litigation.
• Work with external counsel and partners to protect the company’s interests efficiently.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in corporate and technology‑related legal matters.
• Strong understanding of French law and ability to adapt to multi‑jurisdictional environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
