About the role

Join Alta Ares, a fast‑growing air‑defence company, as an Economic Intelligence and Business Development apprentice. You will support the commercial team by monitoring competitors, analysing defence market opportunities and helping shape the company’s strategic positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Track strategic competitors in the C‑UAV sector (positioning, offers, contracts, partnerships).
• Monitor government tenders, defence programmes and budgets.
• Assess economic‑intelligence threats (espionage, information capture) and propose counter‑measures.
• Maintain a shared competitive‑intelligence database for Security and Sales teams.
• Contribute to differentiation strategies and produce synthesis notes for commercial leadership.
• Assist sales on market prospecting, especially export, and help prepare government RFP responses.
• Analyse target markets (geopolitical, regulatory, competitive context).
• Forecast conflict scenarios and their impact on markets; study business‑continuity plans and supply‑chain resilience.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bac+4/5 program (business school, political science, economic intelligence, international relations).
• Strong interest in defence, geopolitics and commercial strategy.
• Analytical mindset, curiosity and ability to synthesize complex information.
• Good interpersonal skills and a taste for commercial development.
• Proficient English; additional language is a plus.
• Discretion and respect for confidentiality in a sensitive defence environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with open‑source intelligence (OSINT) tools and methods.
