General Accountant – Finance Team (Paris)

About the role

ANINE BING is seeking a General Accountant to join its Finance team at the Paris headquarters. You will play a key part in shaping the company’s financial future while supporting its global growth across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly and annual close for assigned entities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Manage intercompany bookings and reconciliations across France, the UK, the US and other EU markets.
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the close package and statutory audits.
• Contribute to VAT, DEB/DES and other regular tax filings in coordination with the AP & General Accounting Manager.
• Support ERP, automation and expense‑management process improvements to scale the close cycle.
• Partner with Operations, Retail and HQ teams to ensure accurate booking of business transactions.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a multi‑entity or international environment.
• Strong technical command of French GAAP; exposure to US GAAP or IFRS is a plus.
• Hands‑on expertise in the full close cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and intercompany.
• Fluent English required; French is a strong asset.
• Experience in retail, fashion, e‑commerce or consumer goods is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or Sage.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Knowledge of French GAAP (and optionally US GAAP/IFRS).
