DataCenter Technician – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a skilled DataCenter Technician to join its Global Cloud Operations (DCO) team. You will work in high‑density data centers, ensuring the reliability and performance of the infrastructure that powers the world’s leading cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize and resolve trouble tickets, acting as an escalation point for systems and network hardware issues.
• Investigate and fix complex Linux server problems and XEN virtualization incidents.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across systems, networking, and power/mechanical domains.
• Remediate physical‑layer outages, including power‑related failures.
• Participate in data‑center power and cooling events.
• Work rotating shifts to meet 24/7 on‑call requirements.
• Install and configure server racks according to internal SLAs.

Required profile

• Passion for technology and hands‑on experience in data‑center environments.
• Ability to serve as a primary contact for internal teams (network, systems, software) and external vendors.
• Willingness to work shift schedules and on‑call rotations.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Linux operating system administration.
• XEN virtualization troubleshooting.
• Server rack installation and configuration.
• Hardware and networking equipment troubleshooting.
• Power and mechanical systems knowledge.
