Business Development Manager – Government Affairs & Public Sector

About the role

As the Business Development Manager for Government Affairs & Public Sector in France, you will lead Bitdefender’s engagement with French government bodies, defence organisations, national cybersecurity authorities and key public‑sector stakeholders. The role aims to strengthen Bitdefender’s market position, forge strategic partnerships and drive growth across regulated industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with ministries (Armed Forces, Interior), ANSSI, GDSN, DINUM, procurement agencies and regional administrations.
• Represent Bitdefender in government consultations, public‑private initiatives, industry working groups and national cybersecurity events.
• Identify and support strategic opportunities across central government, defence, critical infrastructure, energy, healthcare, finance, transportation and other regulated sectors.
• Partner with the sales organisation to create executive access, support strategic accounts and advise on procurement and regulatory positioning.
• Monitor French cybersecurity legislation, ANSSI guidance, military cyber initiatives, sovereign cloud, NIS2 implementation, AI regulation and critical infrastructure protection, providing regular updates to regional leadership.
• Build partnerships with research institutes, universities, innovation clusters and key industry players such as Thales, Airbus Defence & Space, Atos/Eviden, Orange Cyberdefense, Capgemini, Sopra Steria and Naval Group.
• Increase Bitdefender’s visibility by speaking at conferences, supporting executive engagements and contributing to thought leadership within the national cybersecurity ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Cybersecurity, Law or a related field.
• Proven experience in government relations, public‑sector business development or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of French cybersecurity legislation, procurement processes and regulatory environment.
