Solution Architect

About the role

Skywise, a leading flight‑operations specialist owned by Airbus, is looking for a Solution Architect to join its global flight operations team. You will work closely with fellow architects, development teams and business stakeholders to design resilient, scalable, and future‑proof solutions for airline customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.
• Lead the solution‑architecture lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, documentation, evaluation and evolution.
• Create, maintain and prioritize enabler features in the program backlog and translate them into user stories for development teams.
• Provide architecture guidance, define solution patterns and models, and ensure alignment with long‑term information‑system strategy.
• Participate in non‑functional requirement assessments and architecture decision reviews.
• Support the definition and evolution of development processes and standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience and at least 3 years in software architecture.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering architecture solutions.
• Strong background in cloud‑based development, preferably AWS.
• Experience with data management and data pipelines, preferably using Foundry.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, algorithms, architecture patterns and anti‑patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies, especially Kanban and SAFe.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
