Thermal Insulation Technician (CDI) – Nuclear Industry

About the role

Join a leading nuclear contractor as a Thermal Insulation Technician on a permanent contract. You will work on-site at a nuclear facility in Braud‑et‑Saint‑Louis, installing and maintaining thermal insulation systems for piping and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, and fit thermal insulation materials such as rock wool, glass wool and foam.
• Install insulation on pipelines and equipment, and fit metallic cladding (aluminium, galvanized steel, stainless steel) in hot and cold zones.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, isometric schematics and operating procedures.
• Perform measurements, drilling, fixing and assembly tasks to ensure correct fit‑up.
• Participate in quality checks, verifying insulation integrity and compliance with nuclear safety standards.
• Adhere strictly to radioprotection, safety and site access procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in industrial or nuclear thermal insulation.
• CAP, BEP or Bac Pro in thermal insulation, waterproofing or related field, or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
• Ability to work at height with a harness and in confined spaces.
• Possession or willingness to obtain nuclear authorisations (SCN1, CSQ, RP1, H0B0).
