Test Means Architect (Power Systems)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Test Means Architect to join its Lab Test Means department in Toulouse. You will design and implement high‑performance power architectures for ground test equipment, ensuring that current and future aircraft are safer, smarter and greener.

Key responsibilities

• Translate testing requirements into robust power architecture solutions.
• Identify obsolete equipment, specify next‑generation hardware and oversee its development from concept to delivery.
• Define complex power distribution architectures that comply with ground‑testing regulations.
• Support electrical designers in creating wiring and harnesses that realise the architecture.
• Verify and validate installations directly with test teams to guarantee flawless performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power systems; experience in test‑bench architecture is a strong advantage.
• Proven project‑management and configuration‑management capabilities.
• Fluent French and proficient English with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Team‑oriented, adaptable in a fast‑paced environment and proactive in problem solving.
• Eligible for electrical certification to work safely near live high‑voltage sources.
