Senior Regional Counsel – SEMEA (South Europe, Middle East & Africa)

About the role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Regional Counsel to support its Electrification business across South Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role can be based in Issy Les Moulineaux, France or Casablanca, Morocco and follows a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to regional Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Contract Management and Project Management teams.
• Support the tendering phase by advising on contractual structures, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalising contracts with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and partners.
• Guide the execution of high‑value EPC/turnkey, design‑engineering, LTSA and O&M projects, including data‑center and HVDC developments.
• Advise on contract amendments, renegotiations, variation orders and claims management.
• Identify, assess and escalate legal and commercial risks, working closely with internal teams to mitigate dispute and litigation exposure.
• Manage disputes across the region in coordination with the Head of Disputes and supervise external counsel.
• Support the regional joint‑venture portfolio and contribute to strategic legal decisions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level legal professional with extensive experience in commercial and project matters.
• Proven ability to act as a key legal business partner for regional operations.
• Strong understanding of local laws and regulatory environments within the SEMEA region.
• Excellent judgment, independence and capability to support business growth and deal execution.
