Senior Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Gleeds is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of data centre construction projects from construction through fit‑out, commissioning and handover. You will act as the primary liaison for the customer, ensuring that project outcomes meet technical, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Unit Directors in achieving strategic objectives.
• Deliver high‑quality services and ensure project deliverables align with customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Advise customers on specialist services, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Interpret and communicate obligations under national construction, design and safety regulations.
• Review contract scope, team appointments and advise on additional works.
• Prepare and maintain handover plans, defining roles, responsibilities and reporting procedures.
• Coordinate parties to produce completion documentation, manuals and handover packages.
• Monitor commissioning plans, schedule progress and budget compliance.
• Identify and report potential delays, cost issues or safety concerns.
• Mentor and coach project team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a consultant project manager or owner’s representative (AMO) on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction, design management and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior directors and customers.
