Senior Construction Broker

About the role

Our client, an international insurance brokerage, is expanding its Paris operation and seeks a Senior Construction Broker. The role offers autonomy, direct access to senior decision‑makers and the chance to shape a growing construction practice across France and eventually Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, engineering firms, project owners and other industry stakeholders.
• Generate new business and drive revenue growth in the French construction market.
• Design, structure and place complex construction insurance programmes, including CAR and EAR.
• Negotiate with insurers and underwriting markets to secure optimal coverage and terms.
• Advise clients on risk‑management strategies throughout major project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with the international network on multinational placements and cross‑border projects.
• Support the growth of the Construction Practice across France and contribute to a broader European platform.
• Mentor junior colleagues and potentially build a dedicated team as the business expands.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Construction Broker within a leading brokerage environment.
• Proven track record of producing and placing construction‑related business.
• Strong network in the French construction and insurance markets.
• Technical expertise in Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), infrastructure, energy and large‑project risks.
