Project Manager – Programs

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking a Project Manager – Programs to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of customer programmes for AI‑guided defence systems. You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, business development and operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate customer programmes, track milestones, deliverables and risks.
• Ensure smooth cross‑functional execution across engineering, product, operations and commercial teams.
• Maintain detailed project plans and communicate progress to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Manage technical and commercial partners, supporting customer relationships throughout deployments and demonstrations.
• Collect field feedback, translate operational needs into product improvements and contribute to roadmap discussions.
• Organise field trials, demonstrations and operational deployments, preparing testing scenarios and capturing lessons learned.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in project management, operations, product, consulting or a related role (internships and entrepreneurial experience are valued).
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn.
• Interest in AI, robotics, autonomous systems or defence technologies.
• Professional fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe and NATO countries.
