PCB Design Engineer

About the role

Arago is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to create high‑performance printed circuit boards that enable rapid prototyping and experimental validation of AI‑driven hardware. You will work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment, delivering robust, manufacturable designs for advanced control and measurement systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and layout multi‑layer PCBs with high‑speed digital interfaces (PCIe, DDR, USB) and reliable power architectures.
• Specify and integrate power delivery components such as DC‑DC converters, LDOs, and filters for mixed‑signal systems.
• Lead hardware bring‑up, debugging, and fault analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to integrate control and measurement electronics for lab validation.
• Maintain component libraries, ensuring lifecycle compliance and reusability across projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing multi‑layer PCBs with high‑speed interfaces and impedance control.
• Strong background in board‑level power management and PDN analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with fine‑pitch, high‑pin‑count components (FPGAs, BGAs) and advanced routing techniques.
• Methodical approach to prototype debugging and fault isolation.

Required skills

• Differential pair routing, impedance control, stack‑up planning
• Power tree design, DC‑DC converters, LDOs, filters, PDN analysis
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium, KiCad, or Cadence
• DFM/DFT principles
• Fine‑pitch component handling (FPGAs, BGAs), fan‑out, via‑in‑pad
• Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power analyzer usage
• System‑level integration with firmware and mechanical teams
