Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Legal Counsel to join Cisco’s EMEA legal team, focusing on France and other regions as needed. The role is hybrid, based in Paris, and offers the chance to work on a variety of technology contracts and privacy matters within a global tech leader.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate sales, software licensing, cloud, SaaS and data processing agreements aligned with Cisco’s business strategy.
• Provide legal advice on privacy issues and support cross‑functional teams on regulatory compliance.
• Participate in strategic projects, deliver legal training and ensure clear communication of legal information to management and business partners.
• Utilize legal technology and contract lifecycle management tools, including AI‑enabled solutions, to streamline workflows.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of commercial law experience in‑house at a large technology company.
• Law degree obtained in France.
• Excellent written and oral proficiency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven legal technology tools.
• Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
