IFRS Expert (French) – Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IFRS Expert who can combine deep technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards with strong stakeholder management. Reporting to the Head of Accounting in France, you will influence accounting practices and support business strategy through proactive collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary IFRS subject‑matter expert and first point of contact for complex accounting queries.
• Contribute to interim and annual financial reporting, including consolidated and standalone statements and disclosures.
• Perform analytical reviews of complex transactions and draft technical accounting position papers.
• Partner with business teams, including Sales, to structure contracts in line with IFRS treatment.
• Support month‑end closing, quarterly reviews, and resolve general ledger issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Develop and deliver internal training to enhance team expertise.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or audit with IFRS exposure.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA (completed or in progress) is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in IFRS 15 (Revenue), IFRS 16 (Leases) and IAS 38 (Intangible Assets).
• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
