General Accountant

About the role

ANINE BING is seeking a General Accountant to join its Finance team at the Paris headquarters. The role will support the company’s global growth by ensuring accurate and timely accounting for multiple entities across Europe and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly and annual close for assigned entities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Manage inter‑company bookings and reconciliations across France, the UK, the US and other EU markets.
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the close package and statutory audits.
• Assist with VAT, DEB/DES and other regular tax filings.
• Support ERP, automation and expense‑management improvements to scale the close cycle.
• Collaborate with Operations, Retail and HQ teams to ensure correct booking of business transactions.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of French GAAP; exposure to US GAAP or IFRS is a plus.
• Hands‑on expertise in the full close cycle.
• Fluent English; French is a strong asset.
• Organised, rigorous and able to manage multiple deadlines autonomously.

Required skills

• ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage).
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets.
• Technical command of French GAAP.
