Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Geology)

About the role

Lithosquare is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who can bridge cutting‑edge artificial intelligence with practical geology. You will work closely with internal R&D, exploration geologists and external partners to turn raw geological data into actionable insights using the company’s Core Platform. The position is based in Paris with a flexible remote‑working policy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with geologists and partners to identify pain points and translate them into data or AI problems.
• Serve as a power user and early tester of new tools, providing thorough evaluations and feedback to engineering teams.
• Master Lithosquare’s Core Platform and rapidly prototype extensions or refinements.
• Act as the technical face of the product in workshops, demos and proof‑of‑concept engagements, simplifying complex ideas for non‑technical audiences.
• Work closely with Product and Technical teams to relay feedback and suggest platform improvements.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, customer‑facing data science, pre‑sales engineering or a similar hybrid technical role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present prototypes and run technical workshops.
• Passion for applying AI to create positive environmental impact.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with geology or geospatial data tooling is a plus.

Required skills

• Python for data processing and machine learning.
• SQL for data querying.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and large‑language‑model concepts.
• Geospatial data tooling such as GeoPandas, raster and vector formats.
