Employment Counsel / Senior Employment Counsel (EMEA)

About the role

TikTok is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join its Global Legal team in Paris, supporting the EMEA region. The role involves providing strategic legal advice to HR and business stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local and cross‑border employment laws, and contributing to the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business teams on recruitment, global mobility, workplace investigations, terminations and disputes across France and the wider EMEA region.
• Partner with Labour Relations on collective matters, including works council and trade‑union engagements in France.
• Collaborate with other Global Legal counsel to deliver consolidated advice on regional and global initiatives.
• Develop and draft employment policies, agreements and procedures that align with applicable laws.
• Design and deliver internal training on employment‑law topics.

Required profile

• Significant employment‑law experience in a top private‑practice firm or an international in‑house legal department.
• Proven ability to navigate cross‑border employment issues and collective employment rights.
• Comfortable advising on GDPR matters and working with data‑privacy counsel.
• Strong judgment, personal integrity and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across global legal and business functions.
