E-Bike Mechanic - Paris

About the role

Workster is recruiting a skilled E‑Bike Mechanic to join its growing urban mobility team in Paris. You will maintain, diagnose, and repair a fleet of electric bicycles and light electric vehicles, ensuring safe and reliable service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing on e‑bikes and components (motors, batteries, controllers, brakes, drivetrains, suspension).
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, mechanical issues, and software or connectivity problems using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
• Assemble and prepare new e‑bikes for deployment, including final quality checks and test rides.
• Replace and fit parts (tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables, batteries) and manage stock of common spare parts and consumables.
• Log work completed and fault findings accurately in the maintenance system, including recommendations for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with operations and customer support to prioritise repairs and respond to urgent service requests.
• Advise colleagues and customers on basic e‑bike care, safe operation, and battery handling/storage best practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment and follow health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic, preferably with e‑bikes or light electric vehicles.
• Good understanding of electric drivetrain components, battery systems, wiring, and basic electronics; ability to read wiring diagrams and use multimeters.
• Competence with standard mechanical tools and workshop equipment, including wheel truing, brake adjustment, and gear indexing.
• Fluent in French; good English is an advantage.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid right to work in France and willingness to work occasional early starts or weekends.
