Data Center Media Technician (DCO)

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Media Technician to join its Infrastructure Operations team. You will work in high‑density AWS data centers, ensuring that media equipment is safely sanitized, liquidated, and removed while supporting the continuous delivery of cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sanitization and liquidation of commercial data‑center media equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams (network engineers, systems engineers, software developers) and external vendors (hardware suppliers, contractors) to schedule and execute equipment removal.
• Track inventory and update asset life‑cycle state changes in AWS systems.
• Physically remove de‑commissioned equipment following safety and security standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sanitization processes and compliance records.
