Data Analytics & Insights Intern

About the role

Amex GBT is looking for a motivated Data Analytics & Insights Intern to join the Meetings & Events team. This position provides hands‑on experience in data analytics within a fast‑paced, global travel and business‑solutions environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the Data Analytics & Insights function, including the M&E data ecosystem and reporting capabilities.
• Support operational and financial reporting deliverables, including Excel‑based and web‑based builds and analysis.
• Assist with vendor management processes and the creation of strategic presentations.
• Partner with leaders to develop predictive analytics and forecasting models for operational and financial performance.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a data science, analytics, business intelligence or related program.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across US and EMEA time zones.

Required skills

• High‑level competency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with web‑based visualization platforms for dashboard creation.
