Contract Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead contract administration for a hyperscale data‑centre construction project in France. You will act as the owner’s representative, ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and smooth project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Unit Directors in achieving project objectives.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including extensions, procurement, and change orders.
• Source and manage contractors, architects, engineers, and other professional services.
• Coordinate supply‑chain activities from planning through to project close‑out.
• Provide regular procurement and contract status updates to the client, including escalation reporting.
• Prepare and track change‑order documentation and provisional claims.
• Draft formal contractual notices and monitor contractual milestones against the programme.
• Support project handover, final account settlement, and contract close‑out.
• Alert senior management to issues that could affect professional indemnity insurance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of contracts management experience in the construction industry.
• Proven track record on large‑scale construction programmes, preferably data‑centre projects.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• High level of English; French is desirable.
• Right to work in France.
