CCAC Associate Programme Specialist

About the role

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Secretariat at UNEP is seeking a Consultant to join its team in Paris as an Associate Programme Specialist. The role provides organised, substantive support to CCAC portfolios, turning priorities into timely outputs, engaging partners and ensuring accurate information flow.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of CCAC projects, workstreams and partnership activities across assigned portfolios.
• Conduct research and prepare briefings, presentations, correspondence and meeting materials.
• Maintain workplans, trackers, databases, document repositories and records of decisions.
• Organise and follow‑up meetings, workshops, consultations and partner engagements.
• Coordinate routine information flows with governments, implementing partners and experts.
• Monitor progress, risks and deliverables, including initial quality assurance of outputs.
• Link assigned work with relevant country, sector, science, funding and communications activities.
• Contribute to knowledge management, process improvement and consistent ways of working.
• Communicate progress, emerging issues and next steps to colleagues promptly.
• Provide ad‑hoc support as part of the CCAC Secretariat team.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in programme support, project coordination or secretariat functions within an international or environmental context.
• Strong research, analytical and writing abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under guidance while taking ownership of defined tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with governments, partners and experts.
