Software Engineer – Non-Relational Database

About the role

Scaleway is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Non‑Relational Database team. You will help maintain and evolve high‑performance database services that power the company’s sovereign cloud and AI offerings across new regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise non‑relational database components to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with a product manager and fellow developers to deliver features that meet customer performance expectations.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, implementing improvements to reduce latency and increase throughput.
• Contribute to architectural decisions as the team expands into additional sovereign regions.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend services for high‑traffic environments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Comfortable working in an international, collaborative team.
• Motivation to contribute to a secure, sustainable cloud infrastructure.
