Senior SAP ABAP Consultant (FI/CO) – E‑Invoicing & Tax Compliance

About the role

Avenga is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with deep FI/CO expertise to support a multinational SAP transformation focused on digital tax compliance and e‑invoicing across MEU and MEA regions. You will work with global clients to adapt SAP ECC finance and invoicing processes to evolving legal requirements, ensuring seamless electronic invoicing and VAT reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP objects (RICEFW) for tax localization and e‑invoicing.
• Integrate SAP ECC with external tax authority platforms using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, User Exits, BAdIs, and BTEs.
• Map electronic documents in XML/JSON formats to meet standards such as KSeF, XRechnung, PEPPOL, ZATCA Phase 2, and UAE frameworks.
• Collaborate with business, tax, and legal stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
• Support SAP S/4HANA migration initiatives and related compliance tools (Document Compliance, eDocument Cockpit, DRC).

Required profile

• 10+ years of SAP ABAP experience with at least three full‑cycle implementations.
• Strong background in FI/CO, VAT, and e‑invoicing processes.
• Hands‑on experience with international tax compliance projects.
• Professional English communication skills.
