Senior Design Reviewer & Construction Manager

About the role

DESOTEC is seeking a Senior Design Reviewer & Construction Manager to lead the technical integrity and execution of EPC projects. You will ensure that design deliverables meet employer requirements and that construction activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end‑to‑end design review process across civil, structural, MEP and process disciplines.
• Manage technical queries, design changes, clash resolution and risk mitigation.
• Act as the central interface between engineering teams, external design offices and client representatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site activities, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in France.
• Monitor progress against the critical path, support resource planning and schedule optimisation.
• Enforce Health & Safety standards, national regulations and on‑site quality assurance.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover processes to ensure operational readiness.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in EPC project delivery and construction management.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC (Silver Book) contractual framework.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary design reviews and interface coordination.
• Excellent risk identification and claim mitigation skills.
