Retail Architect & Store Planning Project Manager

About the role

As the Retail Architect & Store Planning Project Manager for Maison Alaïa, you will lead the design, development and delivery of new store openings, renovations and relocations across the global retail network. Reporting to the Head of Store Design & Store Planning, you will ensure each point of sale reflects the Maison’s heritage, craftsmanship and luxury positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret commercial briefs and create 2D layouts and 3D models that translate the Alaïa DNA into retail environments.
• Oversee architectural detailing, renderings and design committee presentations to secure senior‑leadership approval.
• Lead feasibility studies, budgeting, scheduling and risk assessment for each project.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Legal, Finance) and external partners (architects, engineers, contractors) from kickoff through handover.
• Manage tendering, procurement and selection of consultants, millworkers and general contractors.
• Provide technical support to local architects, validate construction phases and ensure fidelity to design concepts.
• Synchronise workflows with Visual Merchandising, IT, Security and Retail Operations for seamless store openings.
• Maintain the global material library, architectural standards and store network database.
• Track purchase orders, invoicing and budget closures in collaboration with Group Shared Services.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 8‑10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in retail project management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the high‑end luxury sector.
• Strong eye for detail, curiosity for innovation and a drive for efficiency.
