Product Development Specialist – Wet Pet Food Reformulation

About the role

The Product Development Specialist will join Nestlé Purina’s Wet Product Development team in Issy‑les‑Moulineaux. You will lead the strategic reformulation programme for wet pet food, ensuring compliance with new European regulations and successful industrial implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product reformulation projects from concept to industrial rollout.
• Plan, coordinate and analyse factory trials.
• Define and validate product and process specifications.
• Monitor risks, timelines and deliverables with cross‑functional teams.
• Guarantee product quality, regulatory compliance and traceability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering or related field.
• 6‑18 months experience in operations, product R&D or product technology, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, food manufacturing processes and food technologies.
• Focus on product quality, continuous improvement and “right first time” mindset.
• Effective communication and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAP (advantageous).
