Process Development Engineer - Biotech

About the role

Generare is seeking a Process Development Engineer to lead the development and scale‑up of molecular biology and microbiology processes that underpin its microbial natural‑product platform. Based in Paris, you will bridge R&D and production, turning proof‑of‑concept protocols into robust, high‑performance manufacturing methods.

Key responsibilities

• Take validated research protocols and develop them to a scale that meets operational needs.
• Identify and control sources of variability, ensuring reliability and transferability of critical steps.
• Document finalized procedures and train production staff for seamless hand‑over.
• Continuously monitor the pipeline, pinpoint bottlenecks, and optimise handling times, quality and reproducibility.
• Collaborate closely with upstream R&D and downstream production teams to co‑construct scalable solutions.

Required profile

• Strong scientific rigour with the ability to manage projects from concept to implementation.
• Excellent organisational skills and autonomy in structuring and prioritising work.
• Experience in translating laboratory protocols into scalable processes within a biotech or industrial setting.
