Methods Engineer

About the role

Umicore Specialty Powders France is seeking a Methods Engineer to enhance the reliability and optimisation of its production processes. Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you will work cross‑functionally with production, design, laboratory, quality, R&D and industrial development teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing production processes to identify malfunctions, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Implement measurement tools, collect and analyse production data.
• Design, develop and roll out working methods and production tools that optimise output, ensure quality and increase profitability.
• Develop standardised procedures and operating methods for production operations.
• Participate in the design and layout of production lines and workstations.
• Configure technical data in ERP systems (items, ranges, parts lists, production rates, etc.).
• Train staff on new methods, technical developments and skill transfer.
• Promote awareness of method benefits for quality, safety and environmental compliance.
• Define, implement and monitor performance indicators, analysing data to track efficiency and apply corrective actions.
• Monitor technological developments to identify new best practices.

Required profile

• Experience in analysing and improving manufacturing processes.
