Front End Engineer (React) – Real-time AI for Defense

About the role

Alta Ares is a deep‑tech startup developing real‑time AI solutions for defence operations. As a Front End Engineer you will shape high‑quality user interfaces for cloud, on‑premise and edge platforms, working closely with product and UI/UX teams.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and refactor existing front‑end code across multiple products.
• Build scalable, maintainable web applications using modern frameworks, primarily React.
• Create and maintain a coherent design system and reusable component library.
• Ensure UX consistency, visual quality and performance in mission‑critical environments.
• Develop applications that operate reliably across cloud, on‑premise and edge deployments.
• Integrate with backend APIs, contribute to API design and assist with middleware when needed.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with a strong front‑end focus.
• Background in SaaS or scale‑up environments.
• Product‑oriented mindset and ability to work autonomously in a small, agile team.

Required skills

• React (preferred modern front‑end framework).
• Design systems and UI architecture.
• API integration and basic backend knowledge.
• Unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
