Freelance Tour Leader – Guided Food Tours in Ajaccio

About the role

Do Eat Better is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Freelance Tour Leader to design and lead engaging food tours in Ajaccio. You will bring the city’s culinary heritage to life, ensuring each participant enjoys a memorable, well‑structured experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and conduct guided food tours, following a detailed itinerary.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and share insightful stories about local cuisine and history.
• Coordinate with local partners, restaurants and vendors to secure tour components.
• Research and continuously improve tour content and presentation.
• Prepare for each tour through training, route familiarisation and equipment checks.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead guided tours and collaborate with tour operators.
• Strong customer‑service mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
• Experience in researching and enhancing tour narratives.
• Background in training and preparation for successful tour delivery.
• Excellent English communication and storytelling skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Passion for Ajaccio’s food culture and history, with prior tourism or hospitality experience preferred.
• Organised, personable, adaptable and capable of leading groups effectively.
