Freelance Mobile Research Nurse – Clinical Trial Home Visits

About the role

This part‑time freelance position supports an ongoing clinical trial by delivering care directly in patients' homes across the Narbonne area. The role is designed for experienced nurses who want flexibility while contributing to impactful research on acute ischaemic stroke recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled home visits on days 4, 7, 11, 14 and 18 of the study protocol (approximately 2 hours each).
• Collect blood samples via venepuncture and administer study‑required injections.
• Record electrocardiograms (ECGs) and conduct cannulation procedures.
• Access and manage Port‑a‑Cath devices as needed.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation for each visit.
• Communicate with the central study team to report observations and coordinate follow‑up.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in clinical research is highly valued.
• Current GCP certification or willingness to obtain it promptly.
• Up‑to‑date immunisations required for clinical work.
• Freelance (independent) status with availability of 2‑4 hours per week.
