Director of Business Development – Life Sciences

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives for its Life Sciences division in Paris. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and build lasting client relationships across the life sciences and localisation sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, trade shows and direct marketing.
• Develop and present tailored TransPerfect solutions to prospects in one‑on‑one, group, online and in‑person meetings.
• Manage pricing, contractual negotiations and project quoting, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate daily project billing and liaise with production teams to deliver seamless service.
• Maintain a deep understanding of TransPerfect’s capabilities, competitive advantages and industry trends.

Required profile

• 4+ years of sales and strategic business development experience in life sciences or localisation services.
• Proven track record of generating revenue and managing full‑cycle sales processes.
• Strong sense of integrity, urgency, and commitment to high‑quality service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, fast‑paced team environment.
