Deputy Chief Financial Officer – Strategic Finance & Investor Reporting

About the role

The Deputy Chief Financial Officer will act as the CFO’s strategic partner, leading finance functions that drive performance, capital allocation and investor communication for a large‑cap international group based in Paris. The role focuses on FP&A, strategic finance, investor reporting and M&A, while accounting responsibilities remain with a dedicated Director of Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning, and provide performance analysis across international business units.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, business analytics and performance reporting to support commercial decision‑making.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working‑capital analysis.
• Prepare Board, shareholder and investor reporting materials and support quarterly and annual investor presentations.
• Partner with the CFO on investor‑relations activities, shareholder engagement and market messaging.
• Support capital‑allocation decisions, financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic projects and transformation initiatives.
• Assist in acquisition evaluation, financial due diligence, transaction execution and post‑deal integration planning.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance experience in a multinational environment, preferably within a strategic finance or investor‑relations function.
• Strong track record of influencing senior leadership, boards, shareholders and external advisors.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to work from the Paris office.
