Comptable Senior

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Paris team. You will work closely with senior client accountants and management to deliver accounting and financial services for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and French subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the general ledger for new and existing clients, researching transactions and applying appropriate accounting treatments.
• Post journal entries and keep accounting records up to date for a portfolio of French companies.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements with notes and disclosures under IFRS or French GAAP.
• Liaise with auditors and senior team members to finalize audited financial statements.
• Produce routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and other French tax filings.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and work on ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Baccalauréat plus a two‑year accounting degree (BTS Comptabilité Gestion or DUT GEA).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or financial services company.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and a proactive team player.
• Professional demeanor with enthusiasm for the role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
