Chief Financial Officer – Europe

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for Europe to join the executive leadership team of a well‑established international industrial group operating in the automotive sector. The role combines strategic financial leadership with hands‑on operational involvement across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Full responsibility for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance and related administrative functions across the European organization.
• Strategic partnership with the CEO, shareholders and executive team to drive transparency, performance management and operational efficiency.
• Leadership of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash‑flow management and financial planning activities.
• Active involvement in transformation initiatives, restructuring measures and performance‑improvement programmes.
• Support and execution of M&A activities, integrations, carve‑outs and strategic projects.
• Development and harmonisation of financial structures, processes, systems and KPIs.
• Management and development of international finance teams within a matrix environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director or senior finance executive in an international industrial or automotive environment.
• Strong background in manufacturing‑driven organisations with operational and commercial complexity.
• Track record in transformation, restructuring or private‑equity‑related environments.
• Experience with M&A processes, integrations, ownership transitions or carve‑out situations.
• Analytical, strategic and operational capabilities combined with a hands‑on mentality.
• Ability to act as a trusted sparring partner to executive management and shareholders.
• International mindset with strong communication and leadership skills.
