About the role
The Business Development Manager will drive the creation and growth of local partnerships with merchandise partners, manufacturers, and brands. This role focuses on aligning category selections with business and customer objectives while guiding partners through onboarding and market positioning.
Key responsibilities
- Support the execution of effective local partnerships in line with established guidance.
- Implement category selections to increase overall value for the business and customers.
- Guide assigned merchandise partners through the standard platform onboarding process.
- Communicate plans and guidelines on market positioning, product planning, brand marketing, and operational strategies.
- Gather and analyse category performance data, providing feedback and suggestions.
- Assist in project implementation through resource coordination and merchant guidance.
- Conduct industry analysis reports to identify potential customer needs.
- Adjust tactics based on market trends and directives.
Required profile
- 5+ years of operational experience, preferably in brand management or platform operations.
- Strong network of local sellers and vendors is a plus.
- Excellent data analysis abilities to interpret industry trends and summarize conclusions.
- Capability to develop market exploration and marketing innovation strategies.
- Problem‑solving mindset, self‑motivation, strategic thinking, and adaptability under pressure.
