Accounting & Tax Specialist – Western Europe

About the role

Flix is looking for an Accounting & Tax Specialist to support finance operations across Western Europe (France, Benelux, Iberia). You will work closely with the Sofia‑based accounting hub, local advisors and shared service teams to ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings, including balance‑sheet reviews and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements under local GAAP and IFRS, handling IFRS mappings and adjustments.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors and respond to headquarters’ reporting, accounting and tax queries.
• Coordinate corporate tax, VAT and other local tax compliance with external advisors.
• Contribute to the harmonisation, improvement and automation of finance and tax processes across Europe.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Billing, operational teams, shared services and local stakeholders to ensure accurate financial treatment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting firm (audit, accounting or advisory).
• Strong foundation in accounting and financial statements under local GAAP.
• Experience in multinational environments and familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
• Ability to handle complex business and financial flows while balancing group standards with local requirements.
• Fluent English communication skills.
